Ancient Peaks Winery Winemaker Dinner
Location: The Range — Santa Margarita
Join the owners of Ancient Peaks Winery and Chef Jeff Jackson of The Range in Santa Margarita for an intimate five-course dinner bursting with fresh seasonal flavors. The entrée will feature beef raised on Santa Margarita Ranch—the home of Ancient Peaks Winery’s estate Margarita Vineyard—which is renowned for its progressive rangeland practices. Each dish will also showcase produce from the Sunset Kitchen Garden and other locally grown ingredients that reflect the natural diversity of the Central Coast. The featured wines will include the 2007 Oyster Ridge red blend, which hails from a remarkable block at Margarita Vineyard that is riddled with large oyster fossils. Lone Madrone Winemaker Dinner
Location: Lone Madrone Herb Garden — Paso Robles
Lone Madrone invites you to SAVOR a magical evening of culinary delights presented by Chef de Cuisine Jeffrey Scott among the serenity of Lone Madrone’s herb gardens. Winemaker Neil Collins goes to great lengths to procure grapes from small family owned and sustainably farmed vineyards on the west side of Paso Robles, many of which are dry farmed and head pruned producing the highest quality juice in the county. Neil’s unique winemaking style is the perfect blend of new and old Paso Robles, often using both Rhône varietals and Zinfandel together. Neil has partnered with his good friend and contemporary, Chef Jeffrey Scott, to present this perfectly paired exploration of local flavors. As the Chef de Cuisine for the Playboy Mansion for 9 years, Jeffrey raised the bar for private fine dining in southern California. He is well-versed in classic French, Italian and contemporary cuisine. In 2001 he was awarded the coveted title of Maitre d’ Fromager and continues to be one of the foremost authorities on artisan and farmstead cheeses in California. In 2006 Jeffrey followed his palate and relocated to the Paso Robles Wine Country to cater to the burgeoning Central Coast wine community. As executive chef Jeffrey continues to conduct seminars and private dinners for wineries, wine collectors and a select list of celebrity clients from Los Angeles to Northern California. He derives inspiration from local and small-production sustainable ingredients for his inventive and palate-pleasing creations.
